Handmade prints using found, recycled and simple materials
During the workshop you will have a go at a range of different printing techniques that can be duplicated at home, as well as learning about different inks and papers to use.
We will make our own relief printing blocks, as well as having a go at a range of monoprint techniques including traditional drawn and painted monoprints, rubbings and using found materials and textures.
Please bring an A4 folder to take your prints home.
Printmaking can get messy, please wear old clothes or bring an apron.

Cath has been making prints since she was first hooked at an evening class at Leeds College of Art over 25 years ago. She has been facilitating community arts projects for many years including teaching print to beginners and those with experience and working for Skippko Arts Team in Leeds. Cath’s prints are inspired by urban and industrial landscapes, many of which are based on sketches around the Redcar area and the North and South Gare. Cath is a member of Inkers, a group of printmakers who collaborate to share practice, to exhibit together and take part in creative projects.
