A pay as you feel evening featuring Antony Dunn's final performance as Poet in Residence of the People Powered Press, with live music from acclaimed singer-songwriter Matt Hooper.

Antony Dunn is winner of the Newdigate Prize and an Eric Gregory Award. He has published four collections of poems, Pilots and Navigators (Oxford University Press), Flying Fish (Carcanet OxfordPoets), Bugs (Carcanet OxfordPoets) and Take This One to Bed (Valley Press).

Antony is a regular tutor for The Poetry School and the Arvon Foundation. He has worked on a number of translation projects with poets from Holland, Hungary, China, and Israel.

He has been Poet in Residence at the University of York and Ilkley Literature Festival. Until 2018 he was Artistic Director of the Bridlington Poetry Festival.

Matt Hooper is a multi award winning singer-songwriter based in Yorkshire.

A stint in Nashville landed him a Billboard no.1 & he brings some music city inspiration to his new material mixing classic U.S heartland (Springsteen, War On Drugs) with indie northern UK vibes (Elbow, I am Kloot, Stephen Fretwell).

Liz McPherson’s poetry has been published in Prole, High Window, The Lake and Dreamcatcher. Her pamphlet, Shivering in the Wind, was published by Yaffle’s Nest in October 2024. She is a regular reader at Rhubarb and other open mics across West Yorkshire and has been placed or long/shortlisted in competitions including the Poetry Society Stanza Comp in 2021, Leeds Peace Poetry Prize and Smeaton 300 in 2024.

Tom Ratcliffe is an NHS GP living and working in West Yorkshire. He writes poetry, regularly contributes to the Rhubarb open mic in Shipley and has been a member of the Saltaire Poetry School since 2023.
